The parable of the sower left me worried. Reading Luke 8:1-15; Matthew 11:28-30 helped.
After becoming Christians we still sinned.
Thankfully the sinning has led to better discernment from the Holy Spirit and repentance. That is NOT to say, the sinning is helping - it is the repentance.
It seems like a cycle - clean my dirty hair (sins) - then find more dirt - clean some more (repent) - like the directions read,
"Lather - Rinse - Repeat."

Slightly adapted from Robert H. Gundry, A Survey of the New Testament, 3rded. (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1994), 480-481. This chart has been modified some according to my own reading.
This chart does not give dates as certainties. It is for your personal use and benefit only. Many of the dates listed above are based on a series of conclusions, which are in turn based on partial data. Many scholars, even within conservative, Evangelical circles disagree with the precise ordering given above. This area of discussion is one where charity, grace, and humility are called for above all.

What am I wearing to the wedding? |
There are those God has chosen as his people; the Jews. The Old Testament shows us they have been stiff necked, hard headed and cold hearted. Yet his love persists.
God gave the Jews many prophets and His son, Christ Jesus to invite them into his grace - His wedding banquet.
Some were too busy and didn't pay attention and turned down the offer. Some rebelled, killed the prophets and killed Jesus.
Through His Son, and with help from the Apostles, he then invited anyone on the street (all us sinners) to come to Him, to his wedding banquet.
Some of us accepted His offer and promised to attend this celebration.
But what should we wear to His wedding banquet?
Here is a way to look at it...

What does the bible say about self worth |
Question: "What does the Bible say about self-worth?"
Answer: The Bible actually has many passages that tell us what God has to say about our worth and our value in His eyes. Genesis 1:26-27 says we are made in His image, the very image of God. Psalm 139:13-16 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and all the days of our lives were written in God’s book before we were ever born, confirming God’s prior knowledge and plan for our lives. Eph. 1:4 says God chose His children before the foundations of the earth were ever formed, and in Ephesians 1:13-14 we’re told we are God’s own possession chosen for the praise of His glory, and that we have an inheritance in heaven with Him as His children.

Why should we read the bible. |
Question: "Why should we read the Bible / study the Bible?"
Answer:
Simply stated, we should read and study the Bible because it is God's word to us. 2 Timothy 3:16 states that the Bible is "God-breathed." In other words, it is God's Word to us. There are so many questions that philosophers and people have asked that God answers for us in Scripture: What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? What happens after death? How do I get to heaven? Why is the world full of evil? Why do I struggle to do good? In addition to these "big" questions, it gives a ton of practical advice in areas such as: What do I look for in a mate? How can I have a successful marriage? How can I be a good friend? How can I be a good parent? What is success and how do I achieve it? How can I change? What really matters in life? How can I live so that I do not look back with regret? How can I please God? How can I gain forgiveness? How can I handle the unfair circumstances and bad events of life victoriously?
